GOAL MACHINE TO THE RESCUE
Match report: 13.11.07
Colours: Stewart, Mark GM, Felix, John, Jack, Rupert, James, Paul P, Jimmer, Steve W
Yellows: Tom, Al, Steve C, Rob, Paul B, Badge, Bob, Rich, Scott, Alex
Score: Colours 3 - 3 Yellows
This was a strange one tonight starting with Stewart sporting a shaven head and a beard, someone suggested his head was upside down, which did not gone down too well.
On the pitch the Yellows were in dominant mood and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 20th minute through a simple tap in for Scott after Rupert had saved a Bob shot. This was followed up quickly with another when Alex guided his shot low into the bottom corner.
At the other the Colours rarely troubled the Yellows goal and it looked like it was going to a walkover when the Colours got a third when the unfortunate Felix put the ball into his own net to make it 3 nil.
The Colours started to get the Saints sinking feeling, but from nowhere Mark GM created a chance for himself to make it 3-1. The Yellows could be excused for thinking they would still comfortably win the game, but slowly the Colours started to look more dangerous and when Mark scored another goal their tails were up and the Yellows were chasing shadows. Then with about 10 minutes to go Mark completed his hatrick, much to the annoyance of the Yellows. They then seemed happy to soak up the late Colour pressure and settle for the draw.
Man of the Match: Badge was looking likely again, but Mark's late strikes gave him another award.
