LATE BADGER STRIKE DENIES COLOURS
Match report 21.11.06
Colours: John, James, Shane, Paul B, Simon, Bob, Felix (1st half)
Yellows: Rupert, Badger, Jamie, TJ, Alan, Scott, Felix (2nd half)
Final Score Colours 7 -7 Yellows
The yellows started the game brightly and were 2 nil up in double quick time, with Badger and Jamie causing problems (and of course Al's searing pace). Felix then turned up late and made an immediate difference charging around the pitch like a possesed rabbit (not sure what a possesed rabbit does but sounds good).
The extra man soon told and it helped Bob into the game which caused problems for the yellows. The score was soon level and then the colours edged ahead.
With 15 minutes remaining and 2 goals down Felix moved to the Yellow team and again this had an immediate impact. The yellows were soon level at 6 all and the game seemed to be theirs for the taking. However when James came out of goal the game became close again and in fact it was colours who took the lead with Bob seizing on a mistake from Rupert and firing in.
But with time running out the yellows had the last laugh when Badger slipped home a simple effort.
