TOM ROLLS BACK THE YEARS
Match Report: 10.4.07
Colours: Steve C, Steve W, Rob, Jimmer, Shane, John, Tony
Yellows: Tom, Rupert, Felix, Scott, James, Rich, Al
Score: Colours 2-6 Yellows
What a game for the veteran Tom today, 3 goals and a masterful performance at the back and in midfield, even a clumsy fall towards the end of the game could deny this was Tom's match. He also got his team right, with the crocked Rupert in goal, James and Al complementing each other at the back, Felix was there to buzz around the midfield and the fire power of Scott and Rich upfront.
In contrast it all went wrong for Steve, starting with a rare sight of his legs (deciding to ditch his track suit bottoms). After the game Steve was probably wishing that he ditched his team sheet, rather than his tracksuit bottoms, as to be fair he was let down. In fact the score line flattered the Colours as they were simply outplayed. It took Shane to come out of goal and score 2 goals to restore some pride, but it was too little too late.
For the Yellows Rich chipped in with two goals of his own and will probably look back and wonder how he also did not get a hatrick.
The only issue for Tom was a lack of numbers, he was disappointed that some people might have chosen to stay at home to watch Man U score 7 goals, or Chelsea win away....S*** I missed most of it and I was injured, that is commitment or stupidity however you want to look at it.
Man of the Match: Well no guesses, well done Tom 3 goals and so much more. Man of the Match 2 for Tom.
