FITNESS IS THE KEY FOR YELLOWS
Match Report: 29.5.07
Colours: Stewart, Bob, Jimmer, James, Rupert, Mark GM, Tony, Dave, Rich
Yellows: Tom, Paul B, Paul L, Jamie, TJ, Badge, Shane, Felix, Rob
Score Colours 3 - 5 Yellows
When you looked at the teams you could be forgiven in thinking it was going to be an even match, but when you looked deeper it was clear to see this would be hard work for the Colours. I would not mind betting that Tom had pre-planned his team and had them working in a boot camp all week. They were fit, fresh and on a low fat high carb diet all week. The Colours, on the other hand, looked like a team who liked their luxuries in life. They were not bothered about a low fat high carb diet, it was high beer, curry and late nights on the PS2 or 3, whatever it is now.
In actual fact it was a game of two halves. The Colours were out of the traps early and dominated the first 45 minutes going three up through 2 goals from the goal machine and one for Bob. At times Mark looked unplayable, but may have been guilty of over doing it, unlike me who under did it all game! Well I had been out for 4 weeks.
However out of the blue (and on the 45 minute mark) the Yellows nicked a goal through Badge. After this it was more or less one way traffic with Tom, Jamie, TJ, Badge and Co buzzing around and pulling the defence all over the place creating too much space for the likes of Jamie who punished them with two well taken goals. In contrast the Colours stopped working as the curry and beer took their toll and there was only going to one winner, yes the fit Yellows.
Man of the Match: Well done to Jamie again who wins yet another award. Jamie warmed up for this game by cycling 12 miles and then scored two cracking goals and buzzed around like an angry bee, OK maybe a slightly annoyed bee.

I gotta agree with Rup's here...My weekend consisted of 2 Currys and copius amounts of lager.. even I started to run out of steam last night...+ We had Stu, who, if you beleive the hype, spent his weekend spent his weekend emptying his tank...not filling it.
TBF I didn't think we would hold out against the likes of TJ, Jamie, Tom etc...
The space I had at the start was a luxury and once the yellows picked up some kinda formation, they started to play football and we looked a little short of ideas...
Look out next week...
I'm on carbs for 7 days..

It is good that you go to football Mark, at least you post a comment unlike the rest. Good luck with the diet this week.
