Match Report: 17.4.07

Yellows: Steve C, Jamie, TJ, Felix, Paul B, John, Rob, James, Dave

Score: Colours 0 - 3 Yellows

Last week Steve got his selection wrong, this time it was Tom who got it wrong. Too many times Colours hit the ball to Stewart hoping for something to happen, but try as he might he was effectively snuffed out by a hard working Yellows team.

Although the game was scrappy at times, Yellows fully deserved their win with TJ, Dave and Jamie causing the Colours defence all sorts of problems, with clever movement and flicks. With all their pretty flicks and back heels I am sure they would preform well in any ballet. At the back James, John and Paul B were outstanding (helped out by Felix, Steve and Rob I don't think I left any out) easily keeping the one dimensional attack at bay, leaving the Colours to only some half chances.

It was a frustrating night for Tom and his not so merry men and some of the typical comments made by his team were:

• Unlucky Stew
• Who is defending?
• Come to the ball don't wait for it
• There is no movement lads
• New keeper
• Don't try and dribble in in those areas
• Does my bum look big in this?

Hopefully next week will be a close game, come back Stew and Rupert all is forgiven.

Man of the Match: This was a close one as TJ and Jamie were again in inspired form, proving that if you play these two in the same team you may pay. However it goes to Jamie for a great overall contribution including a goal and now takes his third award and heads the list.
